InterNachi, or the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, is a non-profit professional association of inspectors. InterNACHI has over 12,000 members across the globe, including home inspectors, commercial property inspectors, home builders, and real estate agents. InterNACHI aims to improve the quality of work performed in the home inspection industry. They provide training, educational programs, and professional certifications to all of their members. InterNACHI also hopes to serve as a reliable consumer resource, especially for homebuyers and sellers.

NACHI members who pay their annual dues are entitled to certain benefits, including:

InterNACHI Members

All members of the International Association of Home Inspectors must follow the organization’s Standards of Practice. These guidelines help inspectors identify potential problems and defects when inspecting various properties. Additionally, InterNACHI members must adhere to a strict code of ethics. The inspectors are expected to give a fair and impartial assessment of the condition of any given property.

InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector (CPI)

In order to become an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector and earn the CPI designation, an individual must pass an exam and submit several inspection reports for review. The individual must also become familiar with the InterNACHI Code of Ethics and the Standards of Practice. In order to maintain their status, the inspector must participate in continuing education programs and pay the necessary dues.
